The Bridge is a monthly songwriter showcase at Artichoke Music designed for artists who are ready to step beyond the open mic circuit and into a focused listening room experience.
Each event features three songwriters sharing original material in a structured, performance forward writers round. Artists rotate throughout the evening, creating a natural arc that keeps the music at the center while allowing each voice to fully land in the room.
This is not an open mic. Songs are vetted for quality and readiness, and the night is curated to ensure a cohesive, attentive experience for both performers and audience.
Hosted by Kyle J. Glenn, the evening blends strong performance with brief, guided conversation about craft and process. Rather than long explanations or casual banter, The Bridge invites thoughtful insight into songwriting when it deepens the music.
Performances are professionally recorded, giving participating artists the opportunity to receive high quality video footage of their songs that can be used for promotion and submissions.
For Listeners
The Bridge offers audiences a chance to discover emerging songwriters in an intimate setting built for listening.
For those who already know and support the artists, it is also an opportunity to hear their work in a quieter, more intentional room where lyrics land, dynamics breathe, and the songs can be experienced fully.
The evening runs approximately two hours and includes a short intermission.
For Songwriters
The Bridge exists to help songwriters cross from open mics into listening room performances.
Artists share well developed original songs in a supportive but focused setting alongside two other writers. The format encourages connection between artists and audience while keeping the music at the center of the evening.
